Women in Leadership Foundation Announces CGI Partnership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Toronto, ON – We are pleased to announce that CGI has joined the Women in Leadership Foundation’s (WIL) Best Employers for Women Program as a National Partner.

As a National Partner, CGI will showcase the contributions of women leaders in the company and the communities that they serve. CGI will participate in WIL’s leadership development programs, including our speaker series, leadership mentorship program, and training.

A Canadian company founded in 1976, CGI is among the largest IT and business consulting services firms in the world with hundreds of locations across the globe. The company is recognized for its commitment to providing exceptional employee conditions as evidenced by Forbes’ list of Canada’s Best Employers, Great Place to Work® Certified Canada, and Best Workplaces in Technology Canada.

CGI recognizes the richness a diverse workforce brings to an organization and strives to foster a work environment that prioritizes gender diversity. By partnering with clients, CGI has been able to improve opportunities for women. One such example is the Dalhousie University Women in Technology Scholarship. The ‘Women of CGI’ groups around the world promote and empower women in the workplace through speaking events, mentoring, professional development, and community outreach.

“At CGI, we believe there is a bright future in IT for women, and strive to continue providing equal opportunities for women to develop professionally, said Leslie McKay, Senior Vice-President, Consulting & Delivery and Chair of CGI’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee in Canada. Our commitment and support of the Women in Leadership Foundation is an exciting opportunity for us to extend into the broader community and continue to grow our network.”

Founded in 2001, WIL delivers inspirational programs that bring women together to collaborate in the development of their leadership skills and create positive change in the future of women’s leadership. WIL has chapters in Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Calgary, Ottawa , Montreal and Toronto.

WIL welcomes CGI as National Sponsor and looks forward to working together in the year 2021. Each of us has the power to make a difference. WIL is about working together to get there.
